The Fried liver would be 4. Ng5 d5 5. exd5 Nxd5(?) 6. Nxf7.
#5 sets the right name to the opening.
- 5.Nxf7? drops all of white's advantage (5.Bxf7+ or 5.d4 is correct)
- 7.Ke1?? is very bad (7.Ke3 or 7.Kg1 lead to a draw after many complications).
- 7...Qf6?? is also very bad- Black is winning after the simple 7...Qh4+ 8.g3 Nxg3.
White should counter with 8.Qf3 +-. The move played (8.Rf1) is less good.
- 9.Ke2?? is suicidal, white should play 9.g3 Qxh2 10.Qf3 and get an advantage.
- 14...Be2+ misses a trivial mate in 2 after 14...Bf3++ (although Black is easily winning, anyway).

I was playing the traxler, my opponent tried the fried liver

You can't know what your opponent wanted to do. And even if you are right, the title is still wrong. The Fried liver never happened in the game.
