End game bait

I CC game that I just finished.  I made at least one mistake that I saw in the game (the pawn captue early on), let me know if you see more.  .-.  And yes, I'm posting a win against someone rated lower than I am, but I threw our last game away when I dropped a rook, so let's just call us evenly matched x__x

I think 41. Rc1 might hvae been better

oh right, you were black.

You're right though..... Rc1 would have been better.

Well, there were quite a lot of mistakes on both sides with rooks hung and you could probably have won earlier but it was nice bait.

What moves would these hung rooks be on?  :x

34. Rc4?? is a hung rook which is lost after 34. ... Bd3+ which was not played and essentially is also hanging a rook(you lose that rooks value in points according to a computer) 26. b5?? you made use of that, but he could have played Rc1 which doesn't lose material as far as i can tell, although i haven't analysed it serioulsly.

But all in all, you played quite well. Your opponent made some mistakes and you used most of them.

41. Rc1 Rb6 Ra1 Bd3 Rd1 Bc4 Rf1 g5 hxg5 hxg5

and black gains another pawn and white has nothing left to do but wait to lose because he can't defend this pawn and must stay on the first rank because of mate.  He could move his rook to the second rank, but that would not do him any good.  Black is up way too many pawns and has an extra bishop.  Black would have still been clearly winning after this Rc1 buisness.

I'm not sure what people ment when they said after Rc1 white doesn't lose any material...  even if they didn't see what I saw for black to win another pawn black has so many more pawns and an extra bishop, the material balance is very favorable to black.
