First Post--11 Move Resignation! My most dominate performance : ) Take a look*

I am relatively new here and I have never posted anything like this but that is what this section of the forum is for, right!?

I started playing back in June of 2008 on yahoo and was a dismal 1050.  I have played about 600 games since then and now am consistantly above 1370.

I really enjoy chess.com in my short experience here.  This game is my first post because it was the first time I have dominated an opponent of this stature in such fashion.  I am kind of proud of it and I think a few of you out there will really enjoy this. : )

My goal is to hit 1600 by august. I have to say, things are getting easier.

Hope you enjoy,

Mate getting to 2000+ isn't that difficult in chess.com

I enjoyed playing through your game.  Well done.

Good job getting the win... but you need to keep working on the tactics.

9.Nxe5? is aggressive, but it's losing... remember: L-P-D-O... loose pieces drop off

9...Qxd5 (snuffing out your mate threat)

10.Nxd5 (what else?)... and now Black has his choice of treats, as both your Ne5 and the Bg5 are free for the taking -- you'll be down a piece without compensation -- which is losing.

Ooops... double checked this and I missed some tactics in my analysis! (We've all got to work on our tactics, eh? ;P -- see if you can spot what I missed...

Nytik

You missed 11. Qf8# Tongue out Other than that, good game.

white can fork king and rook and use his own rook to help the knight escape after taking on a8

Yah i did miss Qf8#...good catch, Rd1 does the same thing eventually........ so Qf8# is a better move.

JG27Pyth-- You are right about everything, my ability to dominate my opponent was solely because of his lack of playing strength.  I sometimes play my opponents rating instead of the game at hand...I knew he wouldnt be able to compensate for such a strong attack.

Thanks for the comments, I really appreciate all feedback.

Good game!  :)

9. Bb5 would have looked nice for white.  :)  The threat would be 10. Bxc6+ and black's queen is left hanging.

Very nice!
