I like to play french defence both as black as like as white. This game is from French Defence Open Tournament.

Another games in french I submited before:

A sharp draw in Frehch Defence (Gonnosuke vs LydiaBlonde

French, advance variation - news for white 13-16th movement!

hmm...  it seems like (s)he played it well to start off with.  The move that confused Me was the knight being played to h6...  To me it felt like they were in with a chance until that happened...  But I'm not very good... Thoughts?

This is how not to play the French.  This was the first round in a scholastic tournament.  I played a real patzer.

tricky opening rubinstein french good to play if u know what u r doing

Not quite.  Black is slightly worse in the Rubinstein due to White's queenside pawn majority.  While Black can still hold the draw most likely, it never quite equalizes.

I'd say getting a 0.5-0.5 result is usually considered equalising. Cool

Yes, but White has all the endgame chances because of the queenside majority.
