hmm no takers?
Fun Blitz Game 8-13-08

What if white were to castle after 8... Bc5 9. 0-0!
Do you think black could gain advantage via queen pin or threat of such a pin - many plays for white but I'd really like to hear what others think.
black should have traded on 5. Nxd4 to get your queen out for an advantage...
and should havent of did 5...Qf6 getting his queen out very fast for the other ones advantage and aiming for a scholars mate.
and white should have saw 7...Qxe7
i understand that blunder about the pawn but also got you in check...
and you should not sacrifice that much.. but it mostly wins by position not pieces... unless your time runs out because thats what position does.
makes you think for a great way to win and runs you out on time...

"black should have traded to get your queen out for an advantage..."
don't ya think a castle might work to pin the queen and hinder whites development?

I don't think that he was aiming for a Scholar's Mate because there was no other piece attacking the f-pawn. I'm fairly sure he was trying to attack the knight twice. He should have taken the exchange, though.
Castling would have kept material even after 9. 0-0 Bxe3 10. Re1 but I feel like he would have seen that coming as he has a decent rating. I'm kind of just too lazy to really look through that variation but if someone else wants to that'd be interesting.
After some analysis, there were several opportunities where he could have taken huge advantagees from his material, the last being Qxa2, and several opportunities that you missed for easy draws. But as it was a blitz game, perhaps your strategy was not so unsound as the game is very difficult to play for black and there are some precise lines he would need to find. there are just a couple of specific things I'd like to point out.
1. if he declines the second rook, i.e. 13...Qf3 or 13...Qf6 he seems to a clear advantage, which although is not as large as the advantage he could've obtained with precise play with the line in the game, would nevertheless have obtained a decisive advantage which is not so difficult to play. however, it is difficult to refuse a sacrifice like this and like I said it's a hard position to play as black after your attack. More to the point is...
2. after 10. Bd5!, you force the queen to retreat then cleanly win his dark-square bishop, a piece advantage which shouldn't be too hard to convert. Still, the continuation you chose worked out for you in the game, so cheers on a nice attack.
Comments, analysis, etc. are appreciated. Thanks.
