Although the World U-20 chess championship for girls started only in 1982 ( compared with 1951 for boys), there have been four repeat winners : Ketino Kachiani ( USSR ) ( 1989 and 1990 ), Nino Khurtsidze ( Georgia ) ( 1993 and 1995 ) and Zhu Chen ( China ) ( 1994 and 1996 ). The most recent winner is Aleksandra Goryachkina ( Russia ) ( 2013 and 2014 ). In stark contrast, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov ( Azerbaijan ) is the only one who won the U-20 title for boys twice ( 2003 and 2005 ). The following is a recent game played by Goryachkina.
