I realized recently that I probably never have played a !! move. I have played ! moves.

If a 1000 player were to see a checkmate by double-check while his/her queen is en-prise, i would annotate it as !! for him/her!
I think annotation is skill level dependent.
I had one.
The computer counted this as a "!" move, but I thought the checkmate was obvious
I had a "!!" move when I sacrificed the rook for a mate.
Chess.com has deemed it worthy to grand unto me a single "Brilliant Move".
