Italian Mate in Ten
That's if black doesn't fall into another trap - 5. Nxe5 fxe5
Then if, as above, 6. Qh5+ g6 7. Qxe5+ Qe7 8. Qxh8 (which also forks two knights)
But even worse is: 6. Qh5+ Ke7 7. Bg5+! Kd6 8. Bxd8
So it's either a rook and knight or a queen
Even though 5. Nxe5 IS a better move, I support your a3 B. You had no idea that Black would play so poorly... so why not put an extra move on defense? I, more than likely, would have done the same.
In this game I opened with the Italian. Black made several tactical errors which led to an avoidable mate in 10. This game should serve as a good illustration of certain things not to do in the opening as Black...
it's always a bad move to capture knight in that situation,,,, this game could be played diffrently and white most certain will loose
