After 24. Raf1, Kh8, planning to play Nf5 next move would have been a good defence for black.
King's Gambit silly mate
^ execpt that kh8 is a gross blunder, Rxf7 comes next. There is a reason the king didn't dodge to h8.
I think it's a better move since after Rxf7 there's Rg8. White still has a strong attack but there's some work to do before he checkmates.

That's the problem with you guys. You guys think delaying a completely lost game as long as possible is better. Your variation loses quickly also. I bet you are the kind of guy that plays on a rook down hoping your opponent gives you the piece back, then quickly resign one move before mate when you realise you are getting mated and there is no way out.
Black's game is easily resignable after move 24. Whether he plays Kh8 or not.
I think that with Kh8 white has to show some considerable tactical skills in order to win. In my level I think Kh8 would have given me some real chances to save the day.
^ I think you may be right, at first I was impressed with white's tactical ability with his pretty mate, but then I realised he missed winning the black queen on move 10.
10.Nh4 wins the queen and it's game over.
And your defence fails also:
24. ...Kh8 25 Rxf7 Nf5?? is a gross blunder after Rxg5 white is completely winning. You can't take back because the g pawn is pinned to the g7 square.
24..Kh8 25 Rxf7 Rg8?? is a gross blunder also. Qh3!! wins on the spot. Your only hope is 26..Nf5 where R1xf5 is completely crushing.
By the way this isn't computer analysis...this is very basic tactics 101. I'm not that great and I can figure it out.
But there is no point to this other than to show you black's game was completely lost, and you don't need "considerable tactical skill" to win it.
Qh3!! is not a move everyone can see. Just take note that you gave it two exclams :)

man that knight move on move 10, I never saw it! Darn.
After move 24 I can't see what Black could do. I think the decisive error was covering up the bishop with the knight on e7. It should have rung all his warning bells at once.
But thanks for the comments, this game was fun (for me). If I had won the Q at move 10 I certainly wouldn't have posted it! :-)
I couldn't resist posting this, it will not change the current state of theory, Kramnik will not be particularly interested, and its main merit is an ending that I wish I could produce on command. I live for absurd sacrifices leading to mate. To the extent that I live for chess, which I don't. Anyway here it is:
