I believe if he would've move Qh3 to Qf5+ on move 31 would check your king and also block your checkmate. You can't block with your queen or he will take it with tempo and take your rook so you I came up with the other scenario is block with you bishop(Bc4 to Bd3) or move your king to Kb3 Kc3 or Kd2.
Kc2-Kd2 or Kc2-Kc3 or Kc2-Kd2 would allow Re1xRa1without getting checkmated since the queen defended f7.
The only other move is to block with the bishop which would follow up by Re2+ the bishop can't attack either the queen or the rook because it pin by both pieces at the same time The king best move I believe it to move to Kc3 or Kb3 and eventually with the extra knight he probably would've won.

I made some mistakes and was on the defensive but a mistake in the end gave me the win.
