Bg2 is called fianchetto, not finchiatto.. :) and yeah i think you're lucky to get a win.. he had your queen pinned to the king, and your rook was pretty immobile, so 26... Bxc3 was not only a mistake, it was suicidal.. :D did he have any time trouble??
my thought is that 26... Kf8 would have been a more logical move.. i don't know for sure though..
my opponent still had like, 2 minutes left when he made that bishop move.
If Black had played 26. Bh2+ followed by trading rooks and queens, you'd have had a difficult time.
i guess he didn't see the mate threat then.. that's why he played that suicidal move..
I think that 3. d4 is the best move in that opening.
