Thanks mate yeah i did i was proud that i had him thinking so much and was close to getting him. He even mentioned when he won the tournament that year that the local players played well especialy me. I have to say that man was a very good man both as a player and as a person which is really good to me.....
Perhaps 32.Qxf7+ Kh8 33.Qf6+ Kh7 34.Re2 would have given you a good shot.

Well mate, I don't see why your next move wasn't fxg3 as move 24. It attacks the queen, yes it exposes rook but you can then take queen with king.
The head of my high school chess team's a master. I've played him many times. The 1st time I lost miserably, the next few times I drew him, Then I came really close to actually beating him (he had a bishop for my rook) but then he destroyed me in the end game.
This was my 1st time playing an IM or any master for that matter and i came close to beating him but stuffed up just before the endgame even though i lost it was still a great game.If u want the FULL COMMENTARY VERSION log onto the hussler group and look under "do u think u can beat a GM or master?
