That tactic doesn't work. Bxe6 wins the game on the spot.
My cool attack, and a nice puzzle for you
I know, I saw it in the game, but since it was a casual, i played around with it.
Following my moves, you see anything black can do to stop me winning at least a piece?

Black's best defense is probably 2...Qxe5 3. Ng5+ Kf8 4. Nh7+(the f6-knight is pinned!) Ke7 5. Qb7+ Kd6 6. Rd1+ Qd4+ 7. Rxd4+ cxd4, when White is winning anyway with a queen, bishop, and knight against two rooks and two pawns, but Black's kingside pawns are going to fall. 1. Bxe6+ is greatly simpler, forcing the win of Black's queen for a lot less of a cost.
Here's a cool attack I had in a game today. I'll put it in a puzzle for you first and show a play by play. I went back and looked at a lot of different ways black can defend/equalize material, and white still has an answer. Just to let you know white has different ways of winning.
oh, and try and be a little more creative than just capturing black's LSB to just win a bishop
