My draw agaisnt a chess engine

In this game I drew my chess engine which is chess partner 6.0.0 It has a strength of like 2650 elo. Although I set it to have only 5 seconds a move while I had all the time in the world. The game only lasted 11 moves which I found hilarious as it offered me a draw. I accepted since the last 20 times i played it I got whooped (12 of those 20 were in under 20 moves).

Stupid computers!

I feel like I must congratulate you. You truly are a grand-master oh Obi wan. Your use of techniques were incomparable to those used by such legends as Capablanca and Fischer. I mean, waiting for the batteries to dry off, forcing the computer to offer a draw to save its life, well, simply genius, trully magnificient. If only Kasparov would have thought of that.

Once again, congratulations on this flawless victory. You really are the best playe rin the world, for haven beaten a 2660 player. WOW !

black position is much better, why would it offer you a draw, he has the two bishops... more control of the center control of the light squares and your queensides dark squares are extremely weak. you might want to look up some oopening theory, against 1...e6 2. D4 is the normal reply.

Well I agree the computer has the advantage but the computer said it only had like a .28 advantage (1.00 would be a pawn advantage) I was really shocked when it offered a draw

I know it was set at 5 seconds per move and now I think I now know why it offered me one. The computer analyzes moves and I guess the best move it found in 5 seconds was a draw offer. If it would have had maybe 6 seconds maybe it would not have offered it

my brother(5 years younger) played a draw against chessmaster 10000...he showed me that if you deadlock the position you can draw against any engine. he is 13 by the way.
its interesting actually. i was wondering maybe we can play a draw against a GM as well. although he would be much more aware of what is happening.

This is probably why i had a draw against it. If it would have known that my uscf rating was around 1000  the outcome would have been me getting whooped

I wouldn't let this boost your ego.

Why draw?

Adamperfection> almost every computer... can't play positionally just tactically.

More or less true. Rybka 3 had made great strides in defeating anti-computer strategies. If you tell it that it's playing a human it will employ the anti-human strategy of opening up the position--even at a slight cost, say the bishop pair--and then proceeds to completely dismantle its opponent with its overwhelming tactical might.

Because a chess engine offered one

then chess engine should ask...why gave me 5 seconds and you "all the time in the world"?

This chess engine has beaten gm's and If me and the chess engine had the same time amount I wouldn't survive

5 seconds per move is more than enough time for a chess engine to dispose of a 1200 player.

1 second per move is more than enough time.

I didnt knew that. interesting....
and the analysis engine?

I am really looking forward to that because I prefer positional play. tactics comes with pratice.
