My first ever trap

Serenity_ZZ

Good morning everyone, so basically, I'm new to chess and I am really excited, I wanted to show off the first trap I ever set. I'm not sure if most people would fall for it because it was pretty obvious it was a trap, (I think I faked a blunder or something), I'm also not sure if it was an opponent blunder (I don't exactly know what a blunder is) but here it is!*

*Assumeing I can post this properly.

** P.S. Again, I'm sorry if this is only a blunder, but I thought it was a neat trap.

White could have easily played 12.Bg2 or 13.Bg2 or even 13.Bg4, even 14.Qe2.

Anyway, good job!

very nice!

If 13...Rxd3 is good, then 12...Rxd3 is good. In the game, as already pointed out, White had to play 12.Bg2 and after not doing that, 14.Qe2. At that point, White has lost a pawn, but is ahead in development, with the idea of Bd2-c3.

all this just confirms how little I know about chess......:-)
