I recently got that book too, and I love it. It was a nice game, too. I think the smith-morra is a really fun gambit, and you can get alot of enjoyable games from it.
Thing is, i was looking through some of the videos- some titled players, like Dzindzachvilli say that it is a sound opening, whilst others have videos saying it isnt... who to believe?!

I recently was inspired by IM Marc Esserman's book 'Mayhem in the Morra' (Really recommended read). As a result, I thought I would give it a go, and in this game I played more aggressively than I ever had, with pretty good effects. Let me know what you think! Admittedly, my opponent wasn't amazing either, but I'm still pretty happy with it...
