Congratulations on the win.
There was a three fold repetition of position with move #26 Qd1-g4.
Sorry to spoil your joy, but I think smothered mate is when your pieces occupy all the squares surrounding your king.
Just my thoughts.

Yes, I also wondered why the game wasn't just drawn there. This was played on chess.com, so perhaps the computer would have caught it if we had played another repetition. It seems a little buggy at times when it counts repetitions.
Also a good point, I guess it isn't truly a smothered mate. Thanks for pointing that out.

No, you have to claim the 3 fold repetition by offering a draw. The computer doesn't claim the draw for you. These are the rules of the game.
Very nice mate, though he should have taken on e6 with the Queen not the Knight.

Ahh, I didn't realize this. I always thought a 3-fold repetition was an automatic draw. Now I don't feel quite as cheap winning the game after 3-fold repetition (it was his queen I wanted, not the draw.)
Also, thanks for pointing out Qxe6... I glanced over that during the game. I think I might still have been winning after Qxe6 Qh7+ Kf7 Rxe7 Rxe7 Bf5.
I believe it is also my first smothered mate. : ) I have not done any analysis or added comments, so please let me know if you have any questions or improvements.
