It's easy to calculate the result of 25. ... hxg6, but you also have to see what happens if 25. ... Qxb3.  You can't play 26. cxb3 hxg6 because now you've lost a piece for a pawn. Instead white wins with 26. Qxe8+

well played, It shows why some players wait before castleing, one side is more open to attack.
