Neat Combo

I thought it was a nice little game where I found a combination which cost him the game...or his queen. As with most people, he decided to lose the game.

In what way did the combination cost your opponent the queen? It cost him the king rather.

But brilliant endgame though! A rook sacrifice to kill the king is a good way to checkmate your opponent.

I was actually aiming for a draw through perpetual check, but then I saw the combo after I sacrifaced the rook. He could've delayed the lose by interposing with his queen, but...I doubt I'd lose a game like that with two powerful peices aimed at his king.

if he sacrificed the queen it could have been a draw, because of the passed pawns.

He could've but it would require very accurate play. I could probably stop 2 with my king and the rest with my rook, and my queen could pick off here and there.
