Very nice, what would have looked funny as well would have been sacking the queen for the h-pawn only to draw out his rook and move the bishop on the next move.
A quick 1 minute game I just played, many blunders. I simply liked the mate at the end and felt like sharing :). Hope you enjoy the final position!
