Legall's Mate.  The problem with going for it is that if your opponent doesn't bite on the queen sac. you're in a world of hurt.

Very nice! An important feature of the legall's mate is black's pawn on d6, never forget! Too bad you didn't show them how I trapped your queen :)

as always, fools rush in. i've tried this many times, but have yet to see it work.

how often do you see 2. -- d6?

often i guess.  i just saw it.  it's played pretty regularly i guess.  i don't really play this line that often.
