Managed to pull off one of mine own Epic Check-Mates just now; was going to describe it as a Semi-Smothered Mate, but, not like his King would have had anywhere to go anyway, even without that Pawn being nearby. This ended up being a quick-win, but, for some reason, the end-evaluation indicated that I made two errors/mistakes during that match... anyway, I got a bit better recently, thanks to spamming the openings trainer on LiChess (seriously, try it out, and, once a match finishes, use the Recommended Training link under the after-game Analysis-Button; then spam it at the hardest +600 Difficulty for the whole entire day until you can clear its Puzzles correctly without making any mistakes for 100x in a row; yeah, I still haven't managed to accomplish that yet, not even ten in a row, but, this is how I train to get better, and, I believe it is an effective-method)...

NO-ONE does dramatic stalemates like me! THIS is why I try to mate with just a rook or underpromote to one if that's all i need. it's harder to accidentally stalemate with a rook, if a bit more work to corridor a king
