@Elroch: I'm afraid that I long ago lost the scoresheet of my 164 move game. It was played in the Major Open section of the 1992 British Championships, in Plymouth. I'm ashamed to say that I can't even remember the name of my opponent. At that time, it was reckoned to be the second longest game ever played in the UK, both in terms of number of moves and time taken. Two different games just headed it, one for each definition of length. My opponent resigned in the early stages of our 6th session of play! It began in round 8 and was completed after Round 10 had finished.
Post your best long games
That is long. The funniest bit is where he could have captured your knight and won with a runnaway pawn! But surely something to be learnt from the ending.
A complement to the popular miniatures forum. The ideal game here is one where you gained an advantage and managed to eventually turn it into a win, but other long games you enjoyed are fine too.
