It started as a Italian Game with 3.d5!!! then proceeded on to be a riveting kingside attack then a Queen trap on move 16 . This is an amazing miniature !

A beautiful game where I won despite being down 12 points of material!

Looks somewhat like the Immortal Game.

Thanks!

alphaous

But Anderssen was down 21 points of material. I was down only a measly twelve. * sniff *

12 is not "measly" in chess. That's a queen and a darn bishop!

alphaous

Lol, I was joking.

BAD horseys.. you ate up all the tempos you old nags and you failed to protect the King. Nice doubled pawns.  Hope you enjoy the pawn you captured.

Computer Stupidity??  Or MINE?

Hello All,

I won this barely-miniature game (thanks to a 24th move error by my opponent); but when I went to the archives . . . I was shocked to see the computer had rated my opponent’s game-accuracy as 95.8, but mine only 93.9.  Surely, that’s a screw-up by the machine?  I had

the initiative throughout and then kept controlling the center and developing far quicker . . . Why did the machine like his game better than mine?

In this short miniature another person lives has been claimed by the new anti-Vienna gambit I created !

adityasaxena4

He resigned as his king was going to get mated in one of the most beautiful fashions possible Queen revolving around knight with the knight guarding every check the queen makes !

Y R U playing 2... b5? and 4... d5? That's too clean pawns and if he wouldn't have gotten greedy he would have been up a pawn!

adityasaxena4

My opponent attempted the fried liver but obviously forgot exactly how it fails then his queen went pawn hunting and that got punished as in the end I skewer his queen to checkmate and he resigns!

Why d5 and Nd4? someone needs a break from gambits
