Scary & insanely-tactical opponent

Fast bishop, slow knight (10+10)

I play in ZEN mode, and according to his play I thought it's a 2200+ player to be honest. He just Forced tatics upon me - I was forced to think - not my style. (generally in life)

[clock at end of game: me 1:30, him: 5:02]

I think if he would take the Chess-Personality quiz, he would get "Assassin" (he's attacking with the same pieces that he defends with - that's very computer-like, and very brave):

(I'm a "Grinder")

Normally I do not do this but you missed the lethal discovery 18...Bxh2+ followed by capturing the unguarded queen with 19...Qxd4.  Nice game otherwise though.happy.png

lol, right...

does your opponent know how to play chess??? after c5 why not d5?

also you missed 18...Bxh2+ winning whites queen.

Why did you take on c4 on move 4? You help him develop. Nf6 was better. White is not threatening to take on d5.

There was a guy at my chess club who was supposedly a top checkers player.  Luckily he was not a top chess player as well, although he was a good chess player who could be awfully dangerous, because I faced him quite a bit.happy.png

okay @B1ZMARK, I took your advice (playing Nf6 because c4 isn't a threat "White is not threatening to take on d5.", but he does threaten to advance the c-pawn, if you can call that a threat, I'm not sure), and this is what happened:

What a horse!
