it has to be noted that gambitknight was black in this game so he couldn't play 2. f4.
If I was white against someone who's username is "gambit" anything, I might just feel compelled to play the most boring opening I could find. maybe 1. Nf3 or the 4 knights game. Unless the black player is insane enough to play the latvian.

Sadly, the Latvian Gambit, though interesting and, potentially, spectacular, is a bit too risky, and more importantly book-intensive, for my tastes. I love saccing pawns in the opening (King's Gambit, Scotch Gambit, Fantasy Variation, Alekhine-Chartard Gambit), but I'd much rather give myself a little bit of margin to fall back upon.
And, just to be clear, with white I don't think I've played 4 Knights since maybe I was a beginner. Though I do admit to a certain predeliction for the Italian Game...
Time controls 5/0. A very nice tactical assault gives black the advantage but there's a lot of chess remaining. Thoughts?
