This was a correspondence game I played against my skilled friend, DrizztD. DrizztD was so skilled that I thought of resigning on move 28. This game shows just how many sacrifices and combinations can be made in the dragon vs. the Yugoslav attack.

A tough fight indeed!

Why did he play 28. ... Bxc3?? ? He sacrificed a piece to pin his own knight. It doesn't make any sense.

That Bxc3 move is a huge blunder. I don't exactly remember why I played it. I think the point was to have him take, and then fork the king and queen with my rook... But that doesn't work. It was a silly error.

Better is b5 then b4.
