The Pawn is Mightier than the Sword

I played these two pawn sacrifices in the endgame just on pure gut feeling they were correct.  Hope you enjoy them.

I thought those moves were both very strong stratigically and lead to a win in a drawn position...thoughts?  Where they !

30. a5! was a brilliant idea, intending to play 31. a6, completely undermining the pawn chain. When you played 32. a6, I had a warm feeling going through the finish watching the two passers race to the goal.

Great tactics in a seemingly inferior endgame :)

I agree that althought there is not amazing mate...they were very hard moves to even consider given the current state of the game when material is so important.
