The Underdog!

A little bit of prologue: my team and I are participating in a 2 day tournament(today and tomorrow). Mostly everyone is at least a 1600+ here, but our team average is 1050. This game was played today, against a team with an average of 1700, so the other team was incredibly confident they were going to win. WRONG. Our first board drew and I won. Here's my game.

60 minute game with 5 second delay

Rule #1. Never underestimate your opponent's rating. GG btw.

CHCL

JC how many people are on your team?

Right here, the kid I was playing (he was 8 maybe? but he was a 1650) started to cry, and his mother had to take him out of the room to wash his face or something

Do you feel at least a little bit guilty?

Wow, that looked painful. I don't think you should feel guilty though. Child or not, if someone can't deal with losing or being outplayed, they shouldn't play in tournaments.

Gl with the tournament. I played in a tournament once with a 1004 rating and all my opponents were 1300+.

Just keep concentrating.

Your opponent deserved the loss... delayed castling is not good
