I had trouble breaking through (during the game I thought it was a fairly equal position during most of the middle game and I remember thinking that I had to find some way to break through, but I stayed very patient).
I played the last ten moves with less than a minute on my clock, he had about 9 minutes left with a 10 second increment add on.
I think I got lucky because he didn't take the rook near the end and I found the fork with very low time on the clock.
