To kill a mocking Bird. (pun intended)

Hello everyone,

I'm not here to brag about my "amazing miniature" against a Bird player.

The reason is simple, I almost entirely replicated a game I studied while building my repertoire: Wyss-Barcza, 0-1, 1968.

If I share it with you, it is because I think the tactical ideas behind the moves are pretty nice though simple. And for this reason, Barcza's name deserves to be praised (or at least a bit known). :)

The Hungarian Grandmaster Gedeon Barcza focused entirely on the control of a central square before letting his wrath loose against his opponent's king. My opponent deviated during the last few moves (but I indicates Barcza moves too) and I made a slight mistake which prove once again I don't have the same genius than Gedeon.

This game among other Barcza games (and a game won by Kasparov at 12 years old against GM Romanishin!) is the core of my repertoire against the Bird. The ideas are simple and yet destructive, especially against "Birders" playing it like a system.

Nice game , I'm always quite scared when trying to play f4 as white. it feels awfully insecure....

Sorry for the deleted message, I was sobbing that this lovely pun had not brought Harper Lee's fans around here and that my esteem for Barcza would never be shared... before I saw someone replied.
