Decisive Endgame Battle

Here's a game I played on LiveChess recently. I am quite proud of my endgame play in this one. I have been working on improving my endgame and it's good to see that it is paying off. The game was a hard-fought battle that remained farily even throughout. Both sides made a few mistakes, but I was eventually able to captialize on my opponent's mistake in the endgame and come out with a victory. I have tried to analyze the game the best I can and have commented on a few moves that might have been better. Let me know what you think. Smile

Well played, I love to see decent games played and anotated by normal ppl, Grandmaster games get boring and have a bland anotation usually+ they never play out the endgame...

Glad you enjoyed it. I know what you mean with the grandmaster games. They never play out the endgame since they already know what the outcome will be. If one side has a big advantage, the other side resigns. If it is even and looking drawish, they just draw by agreement. Personally, I like to play out the endgame. You never know when someone will make a mistake and shift the advantage in your favor. I suppose that the grandmasters don't make those kinds of mistakes, but among players at my skill level, they happen frequently.

He should've played 43... Nc1 in order to trade off the pawns, with a draw.

Right you are - I didn't even see that. Thanks for pointing it out. :)
