Thanks, you've saved me a lot of thinking.

Brilliant!

How did you manage to get it up so quick?

Momadu

Yeah, I kind of disagree. A point was being made and you should have resigned much earlier.

This is a lost chance, really. I mean, he's got 8 pieces -- he should have gone for 1 queen, 2 bishops, 2 knights and 2 rooks, and arrange them appropriately...

That would have been awesome!

I would not say it was unsportsmanlike but it was stupid by opponent.

You want to finish your opponent ASAP regardless of the position. Every extra move you or your opponents make is one more opportunity to blunder (although he would have to make 3 or 4 blunders to lose or draw).

You Mortal Kombat fans will probably remember the "FINISH HIM" line in the video game and this is what you should do when you are up a large amount of material, as oppose to promote more queens then necessary.

However, both players are allowed to do as they wish within the rules of chess but the first time he blows a game by getting cute, will be his last.

and once I actually did try... heres the end part...

I think he should have moved the queens into position to spell the following letters, one by one:

R-E-S-I-G-N

or maybe

G-A-M-E   O-V-E-R

Well First off I hardly ever quit, Secondly I was kinda hoping for a stalemate

Why would your opponent quit generating more queens Wink.

Rancidelephant

genius, next time i get 6 knights i will know how to checkmate ... can it be done with less?

Nabeal

Lol

A polygamist performance

may be you are just being jealous Cool.

tukker

this is low-standerd!! :(

x34xElfekix34x

Well My coach(IM David Ross) Tells me to never resign no matter what the position is. I think I will Listen to the International Master Than you guys.Laughing

Rael

You got what you deserved. And Mr. Ross surely wouldn't expect you to "hold on for a stalemate" after the 4th Queen. All the "non-resigners" should take this as a lesson. If you hold that position, your opponent SHOULD torture you for as long as possible. Sheesh, Elfekix.

You must have really yanked his chain with your attitude. I would have just finished you off with two queen and not wasted my time.

Maradonna

Continuing on with that Nakamura chat, here is a game where he ended up with 8 knights. The quality of the video ain't that good - and it's only really the end 30 seconds that are much fun to watch (simply because it looks ridiculous).

You guys need to lay off this guy.

He has a USCF rating of 560 and is obviously still wrapping his head around the game.

As his rating improves he will learn when to resign, when to fight on, etc.

redsoxfan33

You should have resigned in that situation, unless you wanted him to torture you like that, did you think you were going to get a stalemate or something?

GMoney5097

Four queens is unnecessary.  I only need two to win, and depending on how much time I have left, I can sometimes do it with one.  However, I've never been in that position (although I have had four queens against me).  Also, I have never resigned a game.  I always play until the end.

Look at that...3 Red Sox fans posting in a row.

Nice.
