Camp?(Weird UK Stuff I presume)
Right, because no one in North America describes things as campy.
/looks like you get the opportunity to learn 2 things today: when to resign AND a new word! YAY!

funny... it was almost completely even but the the king completely turned the tide. that wasn't what was funny though, what was funny was how you lost!!!!! HA!!!!
The notion that you're motivation is to teach them is disingenuous anyway, and is a thin veil for the real driver: Spite -- pure and simple.
As it should be. Your "more adult" properness is boring. I'm glad you'd be such a chess gentleman.
HE called the other player rude. HE made this thread. HE is in the wrong.
I'm glad that someone demonstated with increased tedium how tedious the "I shall not resign ever" position is.
Fortunately there are people out there that will.
There's no question that starting this thread, and particularly naming and shaming the offender was poor judgement, not to mention unnecessarily redundant with countless other threads in which this issue has been repeatedly rehashsed. Feel free to take him to task for that -- I'm in full agreement, but you won't find me endorsing the spiteful way in which this game was finished by his opponent.

Apparantly you know what campy means(and your In north america) What does that say about you assuming no one in North America describes things as campy.

Wait you can't be serious right, you do recognize blatant sarcasm...well I guess I wouldn't be suprised

Wow, okay, I'd better stop, apparently I'm picking on an infant.

Also: in the future, when your opponent has 3 queens and you have a king, please resign.
The resign button, let me show you it.
I can tell you one thing about not resigning such ridiculous positions : you will NOT make any friends that way. However, maybe you dont want any friends and want to be made fun of ? In any event, if you do play on in such positions you can expect your opponent to feel insulted and they will show it by doing something similar to what this one did and you can call them rude too when it is YOU who are first being rude by continuing. Talk to your coach about this and see what he says....
Hmmmm. Camp? I thought Batman was camp. Oh, that was a long time ago. Sorry. Rainbows are nice, I guess. I have no idea what this thread is about. Perhaps that's why I'm posting. I thought we called all our kids Rainbow and Sunshine and stuff like that which eventually made them hate us. I really think that if you want to resign, that's your business. And if you don't, who cares? You wanna resign ... resign! You wanna fight on and maybe learn something, like you should have resigned inthe first place or maybe you get lucky ... then don't resign. Personally I really don't give a ... uh, whatever.
I am somewhat perplexed by this thread. By not resigning, Black clearly asked for a lesson in chess- and he/she actually admitted this in the opening posts ("hoping for a stalemate"). White obliged. And now Black feels that it was unsportsmanlike for White to deliver a free and asked for lesson. Wow. Sounds very ungrateful to me. Very unsportsmanlike, IMHO.
And your wish has come true. A NM has told you what to do. Is that high even for you?
Well actually I learn From an IM an NM is a Step below, So to answer your question no.
Oh right. Sorry. I guess that means NM know nothing then hey -_-
No, I am saying that I would take the advice from the higher rated player
Even though 100 people say you misunderstood what he said?
Untrue! There are less than 100 people even in this Forum
You think it would be difficult to find 100 people who can see you are wrong?
Yes I do
i'd say not resigning was unsportsmanlike. :)
i'm of this school too. not only unsporstmanlike but stupid... i must say.
Don't be so harsh on him.. I would say that on the x34xElfekix34x's level it's actually resonable never to resign as some of his regular opponents might sometimes stalemate in winning positions.
So when grandmasters play of course it's "stupid" but on the beginners level it might be clever :P
But x34xElfekix34x..... if you think that your opponent may stalemate you, you should be happy that he is getting more queens! You have more chances for a mistake. if you think that your opponent won't stalemate you - RESIGN! In both cases you have nothing to complain about.
The reason I said it was unspotsmanlike in the first place is because I always learned to never rub it in when you are winning. Thats why I never get mor than 1 Queen on promotion

Most of the people in this forum mean well and don't fall to the level of those that are trying to act superior.
If you stick with the game for any length of time, and look back on this, you will see that, objectively, you had a very lost position that warranted resigning long before checkmate.
Assuming that you interpreted your coach correctly, he probably wants to to play games out to observe how the other side converts an advantage.
I would show him this game, along with forum comments, and see what he has to say.

This is a curious code of honor. Rather unusual, as most comments here indicate. To me, it sounds like saying: "It is OK to mix profanities and family memebers of your opponent in a conversation, but avoid mixing some profanities with some family members." Well, it might be wise to listen to your peers to help understand your teacher better.
EDIT: your opponent clearly did not share your code and felt you were being rude.
If he is meant to be learning, then yes it IS my place to tell him what he should and should not do.
In cases like this you "learn" from experience over the chess board (i.e. being faced with hundreds of losing positions and learning when to resign).
He does not need to learn via a 1700 level chess.com player who tells him to resign.
You do not learn to stop a car by someone telling you how, you learn from the experience of driving.
No, it's not like you have a DRIVING INSTRUCTOR or anything is it...
You are not qualified to be a "driving instructer" my friend. Neither am I, at this point, but I am not telling him how to play HIS game.
Yes I am, actually. I know how to play, like most of the club level players on this site. So I am in a perfectly good position to instruct. And for the record, I'm not your friend.
Sorry But I would never take ANY kind of instruction with someone that has "Rainbow" in his name.
Excellent arguement. Good show of ignorance too. I presume you think because I have rainbow in my name I'm either camp or gay. How foolish of you.
