Ding or Gukesh? Who will win the World Chess Championship this year?

#251
Imo there is no certainty that a world championship match will be close (because there is psychology and fitness status that can be a game-changer) and it's not fair that they have big elo.
First the GM have to qualify for the candidates which is already difficult in itself then he have to be the winner of the candidates and then there is the championship match so it's not fair he has a big elo.

LETS GOO ding beat gukesh in game 1
And with a French Defense, no less!
Round 2 was a quick Italian Game draw by repetition in 23 moves.

Gukesh, he is the best.
He's good. Maybe even great. But certainly not the best. The best is not participating in the world championship this year.
Lest anyone forget how strong Ding is when at his peak, remember Magnus Carlsen only managed to get one draw out of ten classical games against him.

I sort of don't understand this. What happened with "with the youth, to the end game"? Seems to me Ding should have been able to get a favorable end game result.
Then again, maybe Ding thinks he can draw the rest of the games after the opening win.
My mistake. Out of ten classical games Carlsen has only won one game against Ding, the rest being draws.

Thanks. I was about to ask what the other nine were.

I find it hard to believe that Ding has NEVER won against Magnus. Is that true?
