1 d4 should be illegal, change my mind

It's just boring. I had more fun at this game 200 elo ago, because d4 was not popular with my opponents. I switched from Lichess to this purely to avoid d4, but now I've hit the elo where d4 suddenly gets popular.

"Ooh but there are interesting lines from d4". Nobody ever plays them. Every d4 player just sits back and impersonates a brick wall.

Every other move can be fun, (except c4 and Nf3 when they transpose into d4 openings) either because it's e4 (and good and aggressive) or some weird stuff that is entertaining even if just for novelty.

As an e4 player, I think a lot of the chatter here is really just from a bunch of people who are bad at facing d4 and too lazy to study anything and expand the scope of their play away from their comfort zones.
