I can't believe it!  I just got a trophy from Chess.com congratulating me for being here as an active member for 1 year (nice idea by the way).  Man time flies! 

It also means I've only improved about 100 rating points over the past year... yuck!

Time to hit the books!

Congrats. Are books really more effective way to gain ground than practising via play?

To bjazz,

Yes, I do believe that to improve, studying chess is more effective than actually playing. I have seen people play for years without ever really improving their  game.
