Sort:
Setup chess pieces on one side of the board, and checkers on the other. Checkers move like checkers, and the chess pieces must capture all checkers to win while the checkers must only capture the king.
I guarentee any 1200 chess player will defeat the best checkers player in the world.

Yes, but that's only because the chess player has to move the king onto the opposite color squares and it's game over.
Ok, set up the checkers on the 16 squares chess pieces start on, and the chess player will still win.
Chess happens on both colors of the board, not just one color of the checkerboard
How can one game be better than another? As long as people enjoy playing them, who cares?
Chess is way more complex than checkers
There's 6 different pieces in chess, while there's 2 in checkers
Chess is much more "known" than checkers
You can notate in chess, but not in checkers (last time I checked)

chess is a good analogy to life
eg the stronger pieces are like forces of nature/angels, we (humans) are the simple pawns but we through tough grind have the potential to become transcendental and even greater than the angels themselves.
also, each piece has its own unique powers and shortfalls. the skill of life is to know how to make the most of your skills while having at the same time the humility to know what your shortcomings are.

there is an offical notation, (i am assuming that the game draughts is what we mean by checkers)
the 32 squares are all given a number.
eg the opening move may be 10-13 which would be in chess c3-b4
