So after several months of playing online chess and learning continually, I have finally reached close to a real 1200 live rating. So now I can say I'm an average player. It's hard to believe that an average player actually has to know quite a bit to be a 1200 player. I have so much respect now for those higher rated players. So much dedication and time is required to get there. I just love the path needed to improve. I even joined my local chess club and talk about a humbling experience. Man this game is fun
