A lot of beginners prefer "online" chess because they get to take their time and use opening books or databases. Unfortunately of course they do eventually have to play chess at some point and that's where they show they're not really that good. Different rating pools attract different groups of players; it's really just that simple.
1300-1400 elo of live chess
Sort:
1300-1400 players in live chess are closer to 1400-1600 OTB. But even one 1300 player in live chess will be much different from another. Some 1300s are much stronger than other 1300s, in live. That doesn't happen as often OTB.
1600 players in "online" chess are closer to 1300-1400 OTB, or sometimes even lower.

the live chess standard rating pool is very weird, to say the least :p
Oh, you got an 1800 rather there. Nice. Is it really that weird? You only lost 8 games. That's more stable than I imagined it anyway.
i played a series against someone i know and won all games. probably not going to play against unknowns anymore :P
They are stronger opponent than 1300 1400 elo of online chess.
Difference is very huge.
1300-1400 of online chess are like patzers. While in live chess they are master of end games and openings and tactics.
Why this difference.Please lighten this.
