Well a new milestone for me after just over a year on chess.com

Now I don't feel like playing for a couple of days so that my rating stays at 1300 :)

Ok Im kidding, but now I can appreciate the fact that my chess studying during the summer was worth it and now It's time to use experience as the next factor in moving towards 1400.  I'm just wondering if it will take another year to gain 100.

Hi everybody,

I am 1300+ (30minutes),1200+(10minutes)after 3 months playing in my life.Never played before.I am 30 years old.I feel a bit down seeing other master so young already.Proverb says,,It is never to late".Hopefully.I have never read any books about chess. However I downloaded around 20.I achieved this result by playing on chess.com.I checked in google and it says I am ,,strong social player class D".I realize now how difficult chess game is!!!Very much.My goal is 2000+ in a 1-2 years time. After when I would get it that level I am going as up as possible.I want to be 2000+expert for the moment.I can be in more than 2 years if I cannot be so good in shorter time.I will study Fisher,Kasparow,Carlsen for the moment.Let us see how my mind can cope with understanding of chess.I am making blunders.

What do you think about my level? Is that good for the moment or it is nothing special?Do you think that to be 2000+2200+ and so on you need to be born like a painter with talent or it can be achieved if studied.

Regards

I just gained my 1300 achievement.. and i am so happy.. I havent read any "books" but i study openings mid games and end game videos on youtube. Kein from the chess website is awesome. I am interested in learning more.. is there a specific book anyone recommends? also ive been working hard on an opening that i never heard of or seen anyone else use.. is it possible i have created my own.. maybe..

No, it is not a new opening.  It is (roughly) the King's Indian Attack.
