14 Days Per Move!

I cannot believe someone would actually list a challenge with 14 days per move! If you need 14 days to make a move then you suck and you're sorry! You really got some nerve! Mobile chess is long enough with two days.

Maybe some people have lives.

Yeah.. Even I alone need 5 or more days, it's notcause I suck but it's cause I'm really busy these days (and trust me I know wht u mean I used to playall 1 day/move)

lives equal days.  chess does not give a person lives.

i bet this woman needs at least 15 days per move!

Ok...then don't expect someone to wait 14 days while they figure how to play chess! So what you think chess players don't have lives! Chess involves strategy and steadfastness. You're not going to see a tournament last 14 days in between turns no more than you're going to sit at a traffic light for 14 days until it changes color! These individuals need to go deal with life's issues if it will take them that long to make a move!

an easy solution is to just play games with people who choose a days per move that suits your needs.  if 14 days per move seems too slow, simply pick another time limit.  play someone like this guy:

many moves per day i would assume.

Maybe the 14 days option replicates the old feeling of postal chess better.

Ok, lets say you don't suck! What's the problem? This is not D&D, or Risk (however it is representation of a battlefield).

WOW! Snail mail chess with a pen and paper fold-out of a chess board! Just mail your moves back and forth to each other! Mirigeganto wrote: Maybe the 14 days option replicates the old feeling of postal chess better.

hey dont knock postal chess....i think i still have some old CCLA mags around....and some postcards with moves from opponents in Europe from the 70s...seriously, if someone wants a 14 day tourney, then let them... the one days tend to be too fast for me at times, but the 3 days are too slow....esp when everyone takes vacation time as soon as a lower rated player starts winning....

I don't understand the problem.

Don't accept the challenge if you don't like to play 14 days per move.

For me, chess is just a hobby, not a true passion,  and in fact I'm spending more time with it then I should - I find it rather addictive. I would rather spend more of my free time on music, because playing music is simply a more social activity. but I always get sucked in to chess on this site. Nothing very wrong with that I suppose. I like the mental stimulation, so I do it when I have the time.

I like composing music, playing music, getting my house in order, taking binoculars or a telescope out and doing some stargazing, having a nice dinner with my girlfriend and later tucking her in to bed, watching indie films, assembling my new gas grill, replacing my broken chandelier, and oh yeah, there's this pesky thing called work that although I usually enjoy, does eat up 11 hours per day, if you count the commute and lunch hour.

Hey, he reminds me of some of the Fark memes/cliches. But he's not covered in mustard.
