1700 FIDE in Chess.com is probably 1800-2200 but don’t get to caught in it. Last time I played a classical game I knew I was playing someone much higher rated than me and it affected my play

In Sweden 1700 FIDE may be around 2000 rapid/1800 blitz on chess.com.

In India 1700 FIDE may be 2500 blitz on chess.com.

haha so true

@EvilOverMind it also depends on the region you are playing in. Not everywhere in India is the same strength. Generally the states which have produced the most GMs are the toughest ones to play in.

You’ll prob be fine, I’d say about -300 on average difference

Not only India has underrated players.

For example I have a friend from Ukraine. His online peak at blitz was around 2680. And his FIDE only around 2000.

At the same time we have noobs like @maafernan from Argentina. In his profile he is happily saying that his peak blitz rating on chess.com is 2158. And his FIDE is around 2000 if he's not a lier. I don't even how that is possible

what is your friends name on chess.com

then what about me with a fide of 1448 and rapid 1900+ on chess.com?

Players with a FIDE rating of 2100-2200 would most likely have a chess.com rating of 2400 or more

1700 fide is probably 2700 blitz on chess.com
