What started as a casual blitz game on Chess.com turned into an unforgettable battle. I — playing as CVGL_Tuanhungredy (Blitz elo 918) — faced off against m7md3bid (Blitz elo 879), and in the middle of the chaos, two back-to-back brilliant moves emerged, recognized and praised by the engine itself! π―
π¬ Game Introduction:
From the opening, both sides developed quickly, but it was in the middlegame where things exploded. A risky sacrifice followed by an unexpected knight leap turned the tables completely. Let’s dive into those moments:
π Move 14: Bxg6!!
π₯ A bold bishop sacrifice on g6 to crack open the black king’s defenses. The engine instantly rewarded it with a +3.44 evaluation and called it a brilliant move:
π― "You sacrificed your bishop. A stunning move!"
π Move 16: Ng5!!
π₯ Just two moves later, I dropped my knight on g5, ignoring any threats and going all-in on the attack. Another brilliant move, according to the engine (+3.02):
π― "You ignored your opponent’s threat and found a powerful response!"
π From that point on, White was in full control, and the rest of the game was just clean execution.
