Who care about social talk for online chess games? Chess is not a social game.
If O.P care about social talk,
1. Do social stuff/ activities rather than chess ,or
2 .Disable chat
... I play chess. I don't chat one way or the other and I don't hold a grudge when people don't follow some arbitrary set of customs I've personally decided are the rule of the land.
I never say gg, but I never say anything mean either. ...
I have never felt comfortable with this "good game" thing. For one thing, it is a judgment that I do not feel that I can authoritatively make, and I do not want to seem to pretend to have such authority. Also, as a very occasional recipient of the "good game" comment, I dislike being uncertain about the degree to which the comment was sincere.

i feel the same way about a good morning. it's like

#1 normal chess where one is able to think about the game at hand, or have time to go to the bathroom or get something to drink.
#2 Blitz
Yesterday I was playing a 3/0 blitz game.
Suddenly I had an urgent need. Apparently last night's meal wasn't thoroughly cooked.
I did my thing, ran back to the computer, and still won the game.
This is actually not the firs time I've won a game like this... lol
