That's really impressive! Do you mind me asking how old you are? Do you play at a club or a lot of OTB?

#24 I’m 15, started playing at 14.
I play at a chess club quite often and play classical games whenever I can. Next month I will play in 2 tournaments

How does one ever get to 2,000 eilo let alone in blitz? Whats the secret? Do you study chess 6 hrs daily?, play 500 games a week?, Were you a young Prodigy? Can you give a reply on this?

He's a kind of prodigy. Most of the time they don't have to work so hard. It just happens naturally to them. They just keep playing and stay obsessed with chess ( to some extent) IMO

Ok I work fairly hard at trying to get better, but I have days were I play so stupid. I guess I have to accept I will suck at this game forever...

Sometimes it's not always that case.Maybe you are working hard, but putting in that work in the wrong place. If you are really struggling, then seeking professional help might help.

Thanks for both the encouragement and advice, professional help is beyond my financial situation and spending 5 hrs a day studying chess isnt a option either.

#36 I wouldn’t call myself a prodigy but chess for sure comes easier to me than to most

Hey @medelpad - I'm not sure why anyone would laugh at you for saying this. I'm still really impressed by you hitting 2000. And your rating fluctuating up and down is not surprising, it's just how it goes. You'll be back up above 2000 and beyond in no time, I'm sure of it.
