#44 for solidity, play on the basic principles, get all pieces out, make sure stuff is defended, for speed just make “solid” until ur position is comfortable and slowly start making threats to make your opponent think and blunder

You are kidding right? Ok, the rating pool of 2000 is a bit of a joke, but hardly anyone actually reaches 2000 on chess.com. And to think that you should only be proud when you beat GMs is really egotistical.
Cherish every good fight you give whether you win, draw or even lose. I played this GM in an OTB game and sure I lost the game, but I am still proud of the game because he was struggling to win, and I could see that. In the end, he won the knight endgame because his king could save his knight protecting his last pawn by one square.
I certainly did not beat that GM, but why should I be any less proud of it?

2000 is a huge achievement, lets just look at statistics: 41,000 people are between 2000-2100* (*currently) blitz on chess.com and the total amount of members that actively play blitz that are under 2000 is 27,477,962 on chess.com, so now we have to simplify for the sake of not having things being too complex i will round both of them (I already rounded 41K so dont worry)
so 41,000/27,478,000 which is 41 out of 27,478 which is roughly 1 out of 670. Now i will put that into perspective, you have a WAY WAY better chance rolling a 8 sided die and getting a 8 three times in a row than randomly choosing a chess.com account and it having a 2000+ rating in blitz

Your blitz rating was 2085 almost 2100 on March 13 2024.
You dropped almost 100 points why do you think this happened? Also are you planning on setting a new record for example 2086 if yes , what's your time line for this?
When you started this account which rating did you select to start with by chess.com?

I actually dropped 230 points, but now I am making my way back up again. It was due to me playing worse than I should for like a week but thats pretty commonplace for most people.
My only goal rn is to hit 2200 and my timeline is to hit it by the end of the year.
When I signed up I picked “new to chess” which is 400.

What's your time line for breaking the current record tho? Which is 2085 how long do you think you need?
Anything from a few days to a month depending on how I play. I’d be happy to hit it by Sunday as that’s when I’m gonna play my first OTB blitz tournament
