2000 rapid.
So it's going to require some positional training... Not many tricks, get to know a couple openings, keep solving puzzles, good luck lol
Learn and apply the most important principles of chess. - (core of my teaching)
Always blunder-check your moves.
Solve tactics in the right way.
Analyze your games.
Study games of strong players.
Learn how to be more psychologically resilient.
Work on your time management skills.
Get a coach if you can.
To improve your chess level, you need to work on all parts of the game — the opening, middle game and ending game. This is true on every level, and you should see where your weak spots are to work on more.
I'm rated around 2500 online on blitz/bullet, and I seem to be stuck.
I went from 1000-1600 in 1 year, but then the next year only went from 1600-1700ish. It's hard to predict your growth trajectory. But one thing I do know is you gotta play actual games. I maybe averaged 1-2 games a day and i think i would have grown quicker if i played more. I think if you want to go 1500-2000 you probably need to play 5-10 rapid games a day and then try to also supplement that with tactics and studying master games.
Increase of 100-150 a year can be possible. Increase of 500 and above is impossible. Not unless you are super talented. I myself tried training very hard and I am a normal person. Now I am just trying to maintain. Might be training hard again just looking for momentum.
Idk if that is true... I've been playing for 1 year now and I started at 900... Also I wouldn't say I'm very talented... I just practiced every day
The secret to becoming a 2000 rapid player is to become a 2000 OTB player.
you will improve more by playing slow time controls, analyzing your games on your own so that you understand why you won or lost, and playing at an OTB club. Study endgames. When you study openings, focus on the middlegame plans and even the endings that result, rather than trying to memorize sequences of moves.

I do not know if you are true too. Or maybe you have in chess for a very long time. Else, you are more talented than Magnus Carlsen.
Lol no way in hell I am nearly as talented as Magnus... I am 17 and 2050 on chess.com... Magnus Carlsen was 2300 OTB at 13 not to mention 2000 chess.com is not a huge accomplishment... And like I said, I started a January 2024... My first account was J-0K-ER
