Im struggling with the 2300 puzzles but do see the pattern recognition very applicable.

Mhm, I've been trying to threaten tactics in games really often, guarding pieces tactically instead of directly. In the sense that I poison the pawns instead of directly guarding them. I find it super satisfying when my opponent misses my traps and I get to play out the tactic.

How long do you think over a move when you play rapid?
How long do you think solving a tactics puzzle?
The time per move in a game should be more that the time per tactics puzzle, as in the puzzle you know there is some tactic, while in a game you have to assume there is one.
Finally! after over 2000 rated puzzles I hit a rating of 2000+ in puzzles. Now just to get my rapid rating up...
