Been doing a little studying of the 2010 World Chess Championships between Anand and Topalov and I found that most intresting game to me was game 7. It ended in a draw, but in dramatic fashion. The format for the Championship was as follows: Best of 12 - Topalov (the challenger) plays white the first game and it alterantes there (ie: Game(s) 1, 3, 5 Topalov plays as white and game(s) 2, 4, 6 Topalov plays black. However starting with game 7 Topalov has to play Black so for games 6 and 7 he had to play black twice in a row and to make matters worse going into game 7 Anand was leading 3.5 to 2.5 and he had to play black for the second game in a row.
Nevertheless game 7 could make or break Topalov's chances to become the 2010 World Chess and playing as black he has the slight disadvantage. One would expect a fairly conservative game with little chances taken unless warented by the position, but it must be considered that Anand is one of the sharpest players around and can draw almost anything. That being said Topalov came out with a extremely well prepared Bogo-Indian line and at move 21. Kh1 Anand finally manages to push Topalov out of his prepared line having spent over an hour on his clock compared to Topalov having spent 3 minutes. The game becomes really tight and at one point Anand finds the only response only to have the slightest of chances to win and ends up with a draw but it was a great and exciting game (given the circumstances)
